All good points, Caitlin, except the plutocrats (if that’s really what they’re called) might be pushing the envelop with the latest wrangling between Trump and Kim Jung un. If the bombing of Guam did start a war, it would be like a giant sinkhole, drawing in all countries siding where economics is more important than humanity. In such a scenario, you’d be absolutely amazed who slides over to North Korea’s side for reasons that defy logic (but there is logic and, again, it’s economic). We’re about to get a lesson in how plutocrats and oligarchs really feel about humanity. If we get through it (and nothing else really stupid comes along), the election of 2020 will be determined by who explained the profound evil best. Candidates are explainers, spin doctors, all basing their reputations on perspective and, God, these next three years are going to need perspective.

I did a poor imitation of Don Draper for 40 years before writing my first novel. I'm currently in the final stages of a children's book. Lucky me.
