As I mentioned to them, Todd, a subscription channel works if what we write is more interesting than what we see typically in newspapers and other online sites. I think it’s incumbent on the editors here to make sure that happens. When they asked what subjects I’d like to write about, I said “satire.” I like to look at the news—any news—through a satiric lens. More importantly, newspapers have given up on the humour slant (I think the Miami Herald was the last with Dave Barry). This could be an excellent place for good satire—especially these days!
