As I’ve said to more than a few people, if the quality of our posts online maintains a standard (meaning good writing), there’s no reason why we can’t build readership to the point where we don’t need networks at all. Their work is sloppy, one-sided, politically derived platitudes with little interest in what people find interesting (except sensationalism). You’re a good writer, Debbie. Just keep hammering away, build your followers and, hopefully, in the near future, we’ll start getting some financial reward (notice placement of “hopefully”). Good luck.

I did a poor imitation of Don Draper for 40 years before writing my first novel. I'm currently in the final stages of a children's book. Lucky me.
