Good advice. People will always meet or exceed expectations if none are expected. I had a friend who was always late. It bothered me until I decided not to be bothered anymore. When he’d ask “What time do you want to meet?” I’d say, “Come when you want. I’ll just carry on.” After a few times of hearing that, he started showing up on time. Reducing your expectations gives people room to exceed theirs. Good post.
