I love this article because it shows everything that’s wrong with marketing today. When you fire an advertising agency—especially W&K—you’re throwing away a lot of experience. Instead, you thought you could rely on numbers—like so many clients—and you lost. You lost $1.5 million. Now you’re saying you’ll come out of Chapter 11 and get investors. Why on earth would anyone invest in you? It wasn’t the product, it wasn’t Millennials, it wasn’t the loss of “Sympathy for the Devil.” It was simply brainless, mind blowing ignorance. Yes, it’s good to fail now and then. Yes, it’s good to be reflective. But you’re still thinking you’ll get up and dust yourselves off when clearly, to use the words of Muhammad Ali, you need to, “Stay down.”
