I was told to “look out the window” all the way to Los Angeles (from Toronto) back when I was nine years old. Saw The Grand Canyon, The Painted Desert, Gettesburg, all sorts of things. Sometimes it got a little tiresome (you’re a kid, after all), but you remember big scenery more than comics and Super Mario.
