I worked on oral contraceptives for years. Through the reading of many clinicals, the most fascinating fact was the ‘thinning” of the vaginal lining with contraceptive use. As one scientist/physician noted, some women had been taking the pill for years—even for long periods when they had no sex at all. When they went back to having sex, the vaginal lining was so fragile and easily torn, and they soon decided they didn’t like sex afterall. From that day forward, I told all my female friends “Use it or lose it.” Anyone who says “I don’t need men,” may be right from an emotional standpoint, but from a physical one, I recommend a backup plan. Thanks for the post.
