I wrote an article once about a politician who proposed a Private Member’s Bill banning dwarf tossing in bars. Such a thing was happening at a place called The Leopard Lounge in her constituency. In my article, I asked her if she was also working to provide these little people with other forms of employment. No response. We all think we’re doing the right thing “protecting people,” realizing later we’ve made their situation worse. Something to consider. Good intentions — however well-intended — can backfire, hurting the people we’re trying to help. Just saying…
