I’m in the process of preparing a “thank you” note to my cable company. They’ve made my decision to give up TV so easy. Even the process of trying to figure out channels and options has turned me towards books and other pursuits like observing the eating habits of the rabbit now occupying my backyard. That rabbit (cottontail) has been more constructive in the past week (chewing weeds like salad and spaghetti) than Trump and all his cronies. This is a lesson I won’t forget (especially when the TV is disconnected and I discover the other lessons books and wildlife can teach me. Now, back to my thank you note.

I did a poor imitation of Don Draper for 40 years before writing my first novel. I'm currently in the final stages of a children's book. Lucky me.
