I’m still not exactly sure how this works, Dakota, although I am a frequent contributor to Medium and willing to support a subscription model. Before this comes down “the pike,” so to speak, there has to be more to this idea than removing ad content. At one point, I thought Medium wanted to work towards paying authors based on the number of “views,” “reads” and “recommends.” I see tremendous numbers for posts I don’t consider particularly good journalism. Some Editor’s Picks seem to be based on sensationalism or “the opening of wounds.” For this to work, Dakota, I need to see more focus on quality. Then I’m on board.
