I’m sure there’s a lot of bluff in the rhetoric and America has deterred nuclear-armed nations before. The difference here is, countries like Russia and China might want to see something happen. Today, international politics is essentially deadlocked. A light mistake, like a missile landing on an American warship would require retaliation, and it would have to be strong retaliation, since Trump has such a big ego. Russia and China would then have to step forward, showing they’re far more rational (and mature) than Americans. Trump is a fall guy. He doesn’t know that yet, but he is, and everything will be put on his shoulders. There’s no plan to impeach Trump. The plan is to use him to break the international deadlock that is making the UN, NATO and all other international organizations essentially useless. War forces decisions. That’s what the real players want. North Korea is ideal. It’s completely disposable. Nobody cares of a million North Koreans are killed. Nobody cares if Kim Jung un is ripped apart by his own people. If it ends the international political deadlock, that’s what’s needed and required.

I did a poor imitation of Don Draper for 40 years before writing my first novel. I'm currently in the final stages of a children's book. Lucky me.
