It’s interesting how ideas and causality get formed into the “chicken and egg” scenario. What I find more intriguing is how we look to other people for the ideas (self-help books, etc) and then say, “Wow, that’s exactly what I’ve experienced in my life.” At the same time, our “skepticism” isn’t directed at making things better, it’s saying, “Well, that isn’t me, so I’m not reading that anymore.” I wonder if we’ve become idea shoppers (being here, for instance) instead of thinking for ourselves. Are we losing that ability?
