One book a year? That’s absolutely appalling. I agree with everything you’ve said, Lee. Tying ourselves to computers, laptops, smartphones all day (and evening) will eventually turn us into cyborgs. Books give us so much, both fantasy and reality. It’s also very good for the brain. I’m not even a fan of eBooks. Get away from “screens.” Just that act alone is good for you. Pages in a book are static, meaning they’re calming. Combine that with a good story and you’ve got the greatest form of relaxation (yes, I’m including yoga and meditation).
