O’Reilly will probably return, somewhat older, possibly gloating. His was the last vestage of the angry man, unafraid of political correctness, dismissive of polite discourse. And we’ll all forget that it’s characters like O’Reilly who keep the rest of us honest, seeing what not to do, but at least realizing that you need someone on the other side to avoid.
