The Rainbow and the Eskimo.

The Rainbow was trying to be a good rainbow

But every time a storm came

The Rainbow got lost

Other rainbows would say,

“You’d better stop getting lost, my friend

Or the sun’s gonna get mad

And you won’t be a rainbow anymore”

The Rainbow certainly didn’t want that

But the more worried she got

The more lost she got

Until one day a storm came

The winds howled and the rains fell

“Where should I be?” the Rainbow cried

The other rainbows said,

“You have to figure that out for yourself”

But by the time she got to the right spot

Another rainbow was there

“Better luck next time,” the other rainbow said

Then one day the sun said to the Rainbow

“Maybe you’re not cut out for this”

That made the Rainbow cry

All of her colours started to run

“Stand over here and I’ll dry you off” the sun said

I did a poor imitation of Don Draper for 40 years before writing my first novel. I'm currently in the final stages of a children's book. Lucky me.
