Validation or valuation is, indeed, how work impacts our life. When people say, “It’s just a job,” I truly worry. If someone works to have the money to pursue other interests in their spare time, that’s one thing. But too many people, educated and uneducated, “work to live” finding their only happiness and fulfillment in family and what they can buy. Governments don’t mind this at all, as long as there’s the ripple effect and population growth to support the economy. But this is short-sighed, too, since a large proportion of illnesses today are directly related to peoples’ unhappiness or lack of fulfillment.
