Well, Kat you bring up interesting questions. I can answer a few, seeing as I’ve been writing over 40 years. If millennials are limited in what they write, then it is a question of learning, listening and understanding. Yes, we need to be “unhealthily introspective,” but we also must respect age. Millennials hate listening to older people. That’s truly a shame. My first bosses were white-haired men with too many years of abuse to not be wise (advertising, you know). Yet their stories were amazing. You can’t learn about life reading click-bait articles. If you’re having trouble looking inside yourself, talking to people with great introspection is very advantageous. Trouble is, they’re usually older and millennials hate talking to old people.
