We’ve moved into “easy thinking” because of the sheer volume of information that surrounds us. Taking an “accepted” opinion, one that appears to be universally accepted, saves us from ever having to face “secondary” questions or examination. Sticking to the “safe road” allows us to move on, sorting through the mass of opinions, any of which could be negated the following day. The Senate Committee Hearings yesterday with Attorney General Jeff Sessions yesterday demonstrated how potent saying “Not to my recollection” is not only safe, it makes the world and all its complexities “avoidable.” Thanks for the post.
